Funeral Celebrants and Ceremonies

Increasingly families with elderly or ailing relatives are turning to a Funeral Celebrant before the death has occurred. This not only enables the Celebrant to prepare the funeral ceremony without haste, but can also provide that person the dignity and satisfaction of helping to plan their own funeral.

On a Personal Note …

One of our members recently confirmed what all Monash Celebrants are taught, that the ways to creatively celebrate a life are endless. In her case the life she celebrated was that of her mother-in-law, whom she described as “a loving mother, grandmother and an amazing cook”.

To acknowledge these qualities, the back cover of the funeral booklet had a photo of the lady in her kitchen and the recipe for her most famous dish which was preceded by - “For memories of Trixie, simply follow the recipe below - make with care and serve with love.”

As we tell our clients, a surest test for a funeral is “what would the deceased have wanted?” We think this fits that bill beautifully.
